Fees
Medical card patients
If you have a medical card your consultation with your GP is free of charge, however certain items are not covered under the GMS card including Driving license medicals. If a charge applies, you will be informed before hand. If you have received a hospital script, please drop it into us. Your pharmacy will give you a 5-7 day supply to cover until your prescription is ready. There may a small charge per item in you local pharmacy.
Doctor visit card patients
If you have a doctor visit card your consultation with your GP is free of charge, there are some things that are not covered but you will be advised before hand if there are any charges. Your prescription will be a private prescription which you will pay for at your local pharmacy.
Private patients
Charges vary depending what you are coming in for e.g. consultation, bloods, ear syringing etc, for full list of prices contact reception. Your prescription will be chargeable at your pharmacy.
Garda Siochana Scheme
If you are an active member of An Garda Siochana your consultation with your GP is free of charge. All other types of consultation such as bloods tests will be charged. The scheme does not cover retired Garda or family members. Your prescription will be chargeable at your local pharmacy.
Children under 8
Children under 8 are entitled to free GP care, you can sign up online with Dr Kirrane, you will need your childs PPS number. If you require any assistance, please contact the surgery.
